A free spyware removal utility that scans your memory, registry and hard drives for known spyware and scumware components and lets you remove them safely.
Spybot
Similar to Ad Aware. Useful to have both programs in case one picks up something the other doesn't.
EndItAll
Shuts down or kills specified or all unneeded programs. Great for use with hanging programs, or turning off all background processes when burning a CD/DVD.
Australian Weather Stats
A small freeware application that polls real time weather statistics from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology and displays them in a number of ways on your computer desktop, eg in the taskbar.
